Relaxing view
Kofu Castle was built after the destruction of the Takeda Clan at the end of the 16th Century. It once covered a large area of 20 hectares, and today a part of the castle ruins is open to the public as Maizuru Castle Park which is a relaxing place for the citizens. In the park there is a ‘Yamanashi "Home of Mt. Fuji" Information Corner’ which introduces the charms of Yamanashi. There is a special bus and disabled parking area.
MoreNice view over city. Also opened at night.
There is no presence at the station without guidance to the castle. Just a photo is enough.
MoreMount Fuji says: "I am not from the mountains you know."
A nice park and a sincere effort to preserve history that was destroyed. Reconstructed buildings are done as they were done in the 16th century.
MoreYou can walk from Kofu station in about 5 minutes. The view is good and it's a great walk course.
MorePlace to relax..
It is maintained as Maizuru Castle Park and remains as a prefecture designated historic site and Kofu Castle Site. There is no free parking lot for parking general vehicles, so use a nearby paid parking lot.The 100 Japanese Castle Stamps are installed at the park management office on the right hand side after crossing the Yukame Bridge. There are benches and toilets in the castle, so you can relax slowly.
MoreSpacious and great view. Quality that you can't imagine free from Kofu Station soon.
MoreGreat view of Kofu
Kofu Castle RuinsIf there are anyUnfortunately,There is some remaining partFeel the history. From aboveThe view was also great.
MoreIt was very well maintained as a castle ruin. Even if you didn't build a castle tower underneath, it was enough to make a stone wall and release it as a park, and to think about it in the past. It was nice to see Mt. Fuji even though the weather was not good!
MoreVolunteers will guide you free of charge when you go to the place where you think there was a castle tower. In the Meiji period, a railway was laid in the castle, the prefectural office was built, and there are some that remain. You can overlook the distant views of Mt. Fuji and the Southern Alps, so if you had a castle, you would feel good every day.At present, NTT's radio tower is standing at the perfect view point of Mt. Fuji, and in the southern Alps area, there are large signs of hotels and shops right in front of you, so it is quite disappointing.
MoreIt was right next to Kofu Station and I went there with a train waiting time. free entrance. You can overlook Kofu city with a good view. Fuji can be worshiped if it is not hung by clouds.
MoreWhen it comes to Kofu, Shingen Takeda is so famous. The old-fashioned Kagigasaki mansion is now the Takeda Shrine. However, considering the history of the city after the fall of Takeda, this Maizuru Castle Ruins is a very important historic site. I think the robust stone wall is as good as any other castle.By the way, the explanation that Hideyoshi Toyotomi built the castle is incorrect.
MoreJust a short walk from Kofu Station, you can easily visit. It is a shame that there is no castle tower, but gates and stone walls remain, and the city can be viewed from the hill.
MoreI went on a trip to Fuji. It was hot in midsummer, but I could feel the history. There is a quaint kendo practice field, and there are well-maintained kites, no trash has fallen, and you can walk very neatly. There is also a Kofu station next door. I fell into a sense
MoreI see! Although it is not so large, it is a castle with a stone wall of a splendid height at the foot. I felt that there would be no doubt that the number of tourists would increase further if the castle tower was rebuilt. Of course not.
MoreIt's a good citizen park. It's unsatisfactory from a sightseeing point of view...
MoreI think that the castle ruins of the adjacent Ishigaki, which can be seen from the train, is rare in the whole country. Surprisingly, struggling to climb up the stairs and slopes. On a clear day, you can see Mt. Fuji on a observatory where you can see 360 degrees. A castle built by Nagamasa Asano in the Edo period. Ishigaki is very nice, but there is no Honmaru castle.
MoreIt's nice historical place. Beautiful Sakura blooming. It has just remains of the castle not the whole castle itself. At Sakura time they have a big festival and everyone dressed in armies of ancient times, samurai and ninja. It's beautiful atmosphere
MoreNice for a stroll. You can walk among the old castle structure and all the way up to a great viewing point. Wonderful view of the city and surrounding mountains. Gardens are kept trim and neat.
MoreThere are many volunteer guidesCan you kindly supportAttractions is IshigakiWell maintained and easy to walk aroundSuch as that too is in place there is also because the cityI got the feeling
MoreLocated at the north exit of Kofu Station, it can be reached in about 5-10 minutes on foot. It feels very quiet here in this city. When we went up, the volunteers provided us with detailed information, so we were able to learn about the history of Kofu Castle. And because it was in a slightly elevated place, I could see Mt. Fuji in the distance when I climbed the castle tower, and the views in all directions were the best. By the way, it is good to look at the Onshirin Memorial. There is no parking lot as Kofu Castle ruins. But there is a toll parking lot nearby, so I think it's better to use that.
MoreYou can get a distant view of the Azalea-Sakikan of Shingen Takeda by climbing the ruins of the castle tower. Regardless of Shingen, this castle seems to have been built under Hideyoshi's orders after the Takeda family was destroyed by the Oda army.
MoreThis is what left of the castle. It is nothing much to see in term of castle but the view of the city when you are on top of the wall is good. The best part? It is free.
MoreClose to Kofu Station, you can go while waiting for the train. Ishigaki is wonderful. ️There is a monument at the castle tower where the Emperor Meiji stood.
MoreIshigaki is excellent.Although there is no castle tower, it is a good place to imagine the old days while looking at the stone walls. The view from the tower is also good.
MoreWe had access from a nearby parking lot because there was no private parking lot with a great view. It is a short walk from Kofu Station. You can see Mt. Fuji when the weather is nice.
MoreSakura is blooming. The north side of Kofu Castle feels good. The south side will be in full bloom from now on.
More鉄道の駅の近くに、このようなお城の天守台があるところは無いので、新鮮です。
MoreIt climbed while looking up at the castle tower from the Yumebashi side. From Kofu Station on the other side, it will be in front of you (the station is in the castle). There is no parking here and coin parking will be used.It was only Ishigaki and the restored gate, but I was able to imagine the image of the time and imagine it just by imagining a few of the towers and so on.Although it looks attractive today, it is strange that it is not well known. It would be a great tourist destination if you restored the castle, but it is highly recommended for those who can find meaning in "Imaginable Ishigaki".
MoreHad a good stroll here. The remains of the castle are under construction, but very well maintained. You can see Mt. Fuji on very clear days.
MoreCastle near Kofu StationThis castle was built by Mr. Kato (not Kiyomasa) who is a retainer of Toyotomi and Mr. Asano who betrayed Toyotomi for the purpose of Ieyasu Tokugawa.Although it is near Kofu station, there is also Kofu station and it can be said that it is a part of the castle on a day. This castle was aimed at containing Taiyasu during the Toyotomi administration, and was emphasized during the Tokugawa administration to protect the back door of Musashikuni (Edo), which is the main territory. Therefore, the importance of Kofu Castle Lord and Kai Kuninushi can be seen from the fact that they were finally ruled by the basic clan. (The exception is Kofu Castle owner, Kunimori Kai is Yoshiho Yanagisawa)
MoreGreat Fuji-san views of this castle ruin once owned by the powerful daimyo Takeda-san
MoreNice for relaxation when get tired
The high wide stone wall is the highlight.Reminiscent of Himeji Castle🏯Is too goodbut,In front of me, I'm impressedThere is no mistake. The tower and gate have been rebuilt.360 ° C can be seen from the castle tower,I understood the meaning made here.
MoreCastle
Nice view of mountains all around. Small and quiet park.
